■ラッピング電車出発

An original mascot character has been painted on the outside of two tram cars running in Toyama City.
富山市内を走る２台の路面電車にオリジナルのマスコットキャラクターが描かれました。

This character was created for the purpose of publicity for Toyama Chiho Railroad Company through the collaboration between Toyama Light Rail and a model train maker.
これは富山地方鉄道の宣伝のために、富山ライトレールと鉄道模型メーカーが共同で行ったものです。

On this day, some goods were sold as mementos in the tram car.
この日は電車内で記念グッズが販売されました。

We could see more than 200 railway fans from all over Japan buy their favorite goods.
全国から訪れた２００人を超える鉄道ファンの好みの商品を買い求める姿が見られました。

■とやま祭り

Toyama Festival took place in the city center of Toyama.
富山市中心部で「富山祭り」が行われました。

Some 3,500 people joined in the dance “Yosakoi Toyama”, as the main event of the festival and gave an energetic performance.
メーンイベントの「よさこいとやま」には，およそ3500人が参加し、躍動感あふれる踊りを披露しました。

Dancers in colorful costumes paraded down the street to the rhythmic music.
通りでは、カラフルな衣装を着た踊り手たちがノリのいい音楽に合わせてパレードしました。

This year, as a new event, there was a school marching band in the parade.They showed a dynamic performance with a perfect music tempo.
今年は新たなイベントとして学生によるマーチングパレードもあり、息の合った動きで迫力のある演奏を披露しました。
